Most families look forward to luxury ski holidays in various destinations all around the world. It is a time to take the entire family to a completely different set up for great fun and relaxation. However, if you want to have the most out of these holidays, it is imperative to take good time in planning and researching about the ideal destinations, depending on the specific activities you intend to engage in as well as the unique preferences of your family.

Of course, family luxury holidays aren’t any cheap and you should always strive to get the best value for your money and the most for your family. Here are a few tips to help you in the planning-:

When to go for family luxury ski holidays
The most popular and the most expensive times of the year to go for family ski holidays is during Christmas, New Year, Easter and the month of February. This is because these times coincides with most of the school holidays and the resorts are always full of activities. If you have to go during these times of the year, then be sure to book in advance so that you don’t miss out on the nice accommodation options. But if possible, you can travel during other times of the year when it is slightly warmer and the daylight hours are also longer.

Where to stay

You must never compromise the accommodation options when you are planning for a luxury ski holidays for your family. Sometimes it is a good idea to join up with a group of other families headed in the same destination and go for an entire chalet so that you have guaranteed comfort with no worries of ruining anyone’s vacation experience. You should also consider getting your accommodation away from the busy resorts as there will be too much noise from the party goers in the evening and your family may not find peace sleeping at night. Booking a place to stay is easy with livignorentals.com.

Book childcare in advance

If you know you will need childcare, it is imperative that you secure such services in good time. This is especially when you are traveling during the high seasons during which, the demand for such services will be really high and you may miss out if you wait till the very last minute. Determine if you will need a private nanny, a babysitter, or supervised children entertainment during your stay and make the necessary arrangements before you arrive.

Ski Gear

It won’t be a luxury ski holiday if you will not be doing any skiing in the snow and this is always the meat and the potatoes of such holidays. Getting every member a new ski cloth may be slightly expensive, and if this will put a strain on your finances, then you can consider getting second-hand clothes or borrowing from friends and family members. Such clothing must be water resistant and you should also not forget with the relevant accessories such as goggles, hats, waterproof footwear and gloves.

Ski Resort Livigno Scams, How to Avoid Getting Duped

It pays to know to spot online scams for Livigno ski resorts. If you go in blindly and believe all the rosy details given by such scammers, you will not just end up losing your money, but your dream of having a great ski holiday may also go up in smoke. It calls for a lot of vigilance, and the use of common sense to stay safe while navigating the murky waters of online ski resort scams. Presented here are a few ways you can use to spot these types of scams-:

Livigno Ski Resort

Check out the property images
The first tip to uncover ski resort Livigno scams is to do a search for the images of the property you are interested in. To do this, simply right click on the image and choose, "Search Google for Images" and if the same image appears but with different names, locations or contacts, don't make the mistake of trusting it. Additionally, if you can't right click from the website, you should be suspicious of it since they don't want you to search for their images. They will show up in other places because they are not legit.

Prioritize organic SEO rankings over the paid search
When you search for Livigno ski resorts in the search engines, two sets of results will be shown. The first one is the very top ones with "Ads" written next to them and these are paid ads. You should not consider these so much, but instead scroll below and look at the ones that do not have "Ads" next to them. This is because scammers too can pay for advertising to get the top positions, but for the genuine establishments, their websites will rank organically and they will be safer and more legit.

Test the quality and the speed of response

Check out the quality and the speed of response of the ski resort by either sending an email or making a phone call. If your inquiries take long to be responded to, then this points to poor customer care, meaning that you may not have a good experience with them. Again, if they are willing to give in to all of your demands with very little resistance from them and without first checking or confirming, they could be positioning themselves to have you commit before they can dupe you. Take your time with such until you are absolutely sure that they will not scam you.

Don't use outside channels for contacting the owner
If you see a ski resort listing in Livigno and it suggests alternative channels for contacting the owner directly, don't be tempted to travel this route as a means to try and get the owner to give you a deal. This is a common method used by scammers and once you are out of the official communicating channels, you expose yourself to all manner of scams. Always restrict all your communications to the channels and contacts provided by the official website and in case of any deviation, simply don't play along.

Read reviews

Don't make the mistake of committing to any Livigno Ski Resort without reading online reviews by past clients or visitors. This is how you can know about the experience to expect and whether or not they have too many complaints, in which case, you should avoid them and deal only with those that have lots of positive reviews.

12 Tips That Will Help You Enjoy Your Next Livigno Skiing Vacation

If you are planning to go to the Livigno ski area for your next winter vacation, here are a few smart tips you might want to consider.
livigno ski holidays
  1.  The Livigno ski area is divided into two parts: Carosello and Mottolino. Each side has several slopes. However, if you want greater variety, choose Carosello. It has almost three times as many slopes as Mottolino.
  2. The Livigno slopes are rather high. You’ll be spending most of your vacation at about 2500 meters. Make sure you can handle such height without getting dizzy. Consider starting out on the lowest slopes first.
  3. If you are not an avid skier, consider taking classes at the skiing school. Be prepared to take classes in the morning only. Most of the skiing schools in Italy don’t have afternoon or evening classes. Some of these schools offer all-day care for young children, which doesn’t include skiing. All the staff speaks English.
  4. If you are a snowboarder, you’ll be glad to know that the wide pistes accommodate the snowboarders with any skill levels. There are over 100 km3 of surfaces available to test your snowboarding skills.
  5. If you are a beginner, try to opt for nursery slopes. Even when you feel your skill levels are rising, switching to a higher slope might not always be a good idea. Pay close attention to the rating of the pistes.
  6. Intermediate skiers can enjoy black and red pistes in both Mottolino and Carosello. Pay special attention at the snow condition in the afternoon. The black pistes can get icy.
  7. Even if you are a late sleeper, choose one day to wake up early and get to the top before anyone else touches the perfectly groomed and smooth slopes. You’ll get a chance to take in the most amazing views. Learn when the lifts open and get there 5 minutes in advance.
  8. There are 12 black (advanced), 37 red (intermediate), and 20 blue (easy) ski slopes. At the Piccolo Tibet, there are 11 ski lifts, 6 cableways, and 13 chair lifts.
  9. Night skiing is available as well. But only one lift will be working.
  10. Take advantage of various events arranged in Livigno area. Spending the whole day on the slopes is fun but take a day or two to rest and enjoy other activities. If you go in December, take advantage of the fabulous Christmas markets.
  11. Book accommodations as close to the skiing area as possible. The location is everything. Besides enjoying a short walk to the ski rental and other facilities, you’ll get to take in magnificent views when you look out of your window.
  12. Browse through the Livigno websites to find out about special offers. You can even get a free ski pass.
Skiing vacation is always something to remember. The more research you do before going, the more you’ll be able to enjoy it while spending less money.

Summary: Each Livigno ski resort is different. If you are planning to go to the Livigno ski area, here are 12 tips to help you enjoy a fabulous vacation.
